The genesis of our creative content division came from our desire to take our skills and experience in the award-winning work we’ve created for others and to create something from the ground up for ourselves and others to enjoy and to push the boundaries of what we knew and wanted to learn in the process. We did this with our first production.

Our award-winning short film Skeleton Girl, had us learning stereoscopic 3D and stop motion animation. We broke new ground; Skeleton Girl was Canada’s first combined stereoscopic 3D stop motion animated short film. Called “a creative and technical accomplishment on multiple levels”, it premiered in New York at Be Film, The Underground Film Festival where it won “Best First 3D Film”. It was selected as one of 9 top short films in Canada, participating in CBC’s 2013 Short Film Face Off, and it screened at film festivals around the world, including the renowned San Diego Comic Con. These accolades told us that there’s a demand for our rougher-edged stop motion animation style and slightly dark story-lines, and that we can compete with the world’s best. There was interest in distributing Skeleton Girl in 3D and it was distributed on the 3Doo platform before the whole “3D thing” went away. You can purchase a digital download or the 2D Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack from our online store here.

Continuing to push our stop motion skills, we connected with the iconic Canadian musical trio The Arrogant Worms who allowed us to create a stop motion animation to their song River of Snot. Our production The River, a whimsical Monty Python-esque 3D stop motion animation has received thousands of views on our You Tube channel and toured film festivals worldwide including multi-year stops at Edinburgh’s Dead by Dawn Festival, at the 3DKorea International Film Festival, Amsterdam’s Klik! Animation Festival, and at Calgary’s International Festival of Animated Objects. It is available in 3D on the 3Doo platform on 3D Smart TV’s and Android mobile devices.

We are currently shooting a trailer for our stop motion animated series called Twisted Tales for Demented Children which takes us back to a similar vein as Skeleton Girl. For more information contact Becky at the email below.
